I always had enjoyed reading personal development blogs, but I couldn't get the passion bloggers have for their blogs, I thought that it's a waste of time, not until I've started my own! it turned to be the best thing you can do for yourself and here's why:

1- It made me open my eyes on what I've used to be blinded on, it made me understand things better
it made me pause for a while and think deeply, it made me wonder everything and be inspired to have new ideas!

2- It gave me a voice and it did hear me when I couldn't find anyone to run to when I most needed someone to hear me!

3- It taught me how to step out of my comfort zone. If you ever wanted to achieve anything, the first step to do so is to get out of your comfort and be open to every opportunity that may knock your door.

4- It got me to be more open to people and to give up selfishness, because we're here only to help people and leave the world a brighter place.

5- It motivated me to invest in myself and to be better because most of our problems are only in our head and only with changing your attitude that you can conquer it!

6- It made me understand myself better and be able to control my thoughts and so control my life.

7- Blogging pushes me to experience more so that I'll have more to tell!

8- When I write here, all the negative thoughts, all the sadness and anger ends, only to be replaced by good vibes and gratitude. Writing clears my vision and helps me see the life from the big picture, see how small it is and how nothing really matters, not in the way I thought at least. I feel grateful instantly for all the experiences I've been through because it made me who I am today, and then I feel more grateful for the things I have in my life and I don't want to lose it ever, with it, how can I feel sad!

The word blog can be intimidating for people who are not professional writers. I remember my first blog post taking seven hours to write. It wasn’t because I was writing an epic 30,000-word blog post. It was because I was moving at a snail’s pace. Every few sentences, I would stop to re-write or edit.

I’m writing this blog post for those people who find it difficult to put 1,000 words on paper in less than an hour. Most people have this problem, so I hope you’ll find these tips useful!

1. Answer questions. Your readers have questions. Use a specific question as the title of your blog post. The answer to the question is your blog post content.

2. Create an outline prior to writing. Don’t sit down to write a blog post without creating a framework. The outline will be your guide and make it much easier to keep the flow of your blog post moving forward.

3. When writing your blog post, don’t stop writing until you’re 100 percent finished. This was my biggest mistake. Get your blog post on paper, no matter how ugly it looks. Once you’re finished, go back and edit. Do NOT edit while you write. It will slow you down and interrupt your flow. Use Grammarly AFTER you’ve got your blog post on paper.

4. Write five hundred words, minimum. Fifteen hundred words is ideal. I realize fifteen hundred words may seem like an impossible task when you first start writing, but I promise it’s not. Study after study shows longer blog posts attract more links, likes, and shares.

5. Don’t forget about bullet points, numbers, and pictures in your blog post. Make each blog post easy on the eyes.

6. Evergreen blog posts will provide the most bang for your buck. An “evergreen” blog post is a blog post that will be popular several years from now. Typically, these are “how to” or list-type blog posts (like this one).

7. Be passionate in your writing. People respond to emotion. Aim for creating some kind of emotional reaction with your reader.

8. Write as if you’re speaking to ONE reader. Don’t write to an audience. Act is if you’re talking to ONE person and write accordingly.

9. Learn to become a great storyteller. The best writers are storytellers. Try to incorporate a story in every blog post.

10. Be honest, humble, and personable. Nobody likes a know-it-all. The more personality you can show in a blog post, the better. You’re not writing for your college English professor. You’re writing for the amusement of the reader. That’s a big difference.

11. Use a kitchen timer or unplug your laptop to create a sense of urgency. I don’t believe in “writer’s block.” However, I do believe in “writer’s procrastination.” I avoid procrastination by playing a game with myself. I unplug my laptop and start writing. I have an older laptop with a short battery life (about seventy minutes). I must finish my blog post before the laptop dies. If you have writer’s procrastination too, try playing this game. You’ll love it.

12. Solve problems. People have all kinds of different problems. If your blog post solves a problem, you’ve provided value to your reader.

13. Stop talking about yourself. People don’t like authors who talk about themselves all the time.

14. Write for your audience, not Google. It could be tempting to stuff keywords in the title or copy of your blog post in hopes Google will rank you for a specific keyword. Stop that right now. It’s not 2007 anymore. Today, you need to write for your audience. If your audience finds your content valuable, Google will catch up eventually.

15. Define your ideal target audience prior to writing. Be extremely precise. Is your audience male or female? Young or old? Poor or rich? Educated or high school dropouts? The more specific you are when creating your market persona, the better.

16. Have fun! Blogging is like working out. If you avoid it and have a bad attitude, blogging becomes like a chore you never want to finish. However, if you have a good attitude and realize that blogging is not a life-or-death exercise, you’ll have fun and look forward to blogging every day!

Biggest risk? Hmmm, that would be investing time on something without knowing whether it will work out or not. For example, in the first year of my blogging, I invested so much time in Twelveskip without getting that much in return. It’s like I was working full-time for free. I kept telling myself to have fun and be passionate because I believed one day all these would pay off. I spent most of my time learning, experimenting, networking and creating content. I was inspired by those people who started from nothing (like Michelle Phan) and became really successful because they are passionate about what they do. If they can do it, why can’t I, right?
Now I’ve been happy with the level of engagement I’ve got. I love how I actually make a living from blogging. It took me a year and a half to figure all out but I never felt like it’s work. I’ve loved every bit of it.

There isn't really a magical recipe to succeed in blogging, it's going to take from you a lot of patience and constancy. It's about learning the rules and playing better. There's no lack, there's only hard work. You need to believe in yourself, and to believe in that value that you have to give to the world. Don't focus on profits, build your audience first. Feel free to express yourself and do what you love. Learn from others if you want but never compare yourself to them. Your blog is going to be a reflection of who you are. The secret to blogging success is no secret, there's no shortcuts to success. It takes from you hard word and persistence

"What comes easy won't last and what will last won't come easy", we all know such sayings well and we think that it's true and meaningful, yet we don't really believe it. It always sounds hard and tiring to go the long way, but in fact trying shortcuts and ending nowhere is much tiring, below some simple yet great blogging tips, to help you through your journey as a blogger:

1- The illusion of guest posting:

Your audience are actually attached to your kind of writing, even if others post are going viral, it doesn't mean that they'll do on your blog. Your blog is your voice, don't be an echo.

2- Invest in your golden hour:

When you're most productive, try writing as often as you can and as much as you can until you figure out your golden hour, then invest in this hour especially.

3- Keep yourself inspired:

Better yet find out a way to inspire from everything around you and within you, try writing notes whenever you get an idea, and when you get to write, develop these ideas.

4- Never stop trying:

You're capable of doing what you love to do, you just need more practice.

5- Your content is king:

Be original, don't be an echo, when you write a great content it will promote you like nothing else.

6- Start where others stopped:

Don't start from zero, learn from others and create something new, create something better, add a value.

7- Don't write to please people:

Write from your heart, because you can't add a value if it wasn't from your heart, don't think about what people will like to read, be yourself, express yourself and right people will fall in love with it!
